🇺🇸 Recital Day is Here! Important Information for Dress Rehearsal and Showtime!
Good morning, CRDA families! Today is recital day! Please take a few minutes to review these important reminders before heading to the venue.
📍 Venue Address: 2472 Stanley Rd.Fort Sam Houston, TX 78234
🚗 Base Access-Please Use Walters Gate
If you are pre-approved:
Bring your REAL ID.
Have your EAL approval email readily available in case it is requested at the gate.
If you or your guests are NOT pre-approved:
Please stop at the BAMC Visitor Center before entering the installation.
The Visitor Center is open 24 hours.
Please allow plenty of extra travel time for the visitor pass process and possible gate traffic. We want everyone to arrive safely and on time.
🎭 Dress Rehearsal
Please arrive wearing:
Black recital shirt
Black leggings
Dance shoes
Full hair and makeup
👜 Bring all costumes with you. We will complete a costume bag check during dress rehearsal to make sure everyone has everything needed for the performance.
⏰ After Dress Rehearsal
Everyone will exit the theater following dress rehearsal.
Dancer check-in begins at 1:45 PM. We will begin allowing dancers into the backstage area a little early if they need time to get dressed.
One female guardian per dancer may accompany their dancer into the dressing room to assist with costume changes.
The theater seating area will remain closed until 2:00 PM, when doors officially open for guests.
🌟 During the Show
If your dancer's first routine is in Act II, they should remain with you until they are called backstage during intermission.
Younger dancers may be picked up backstage after their final routine to enjoy the remainder of the show with their family.
Please silence your cell phones and remain seated during performances whenever possible.
⭐ Finale
Every dancer will perform in the finale! Please have your dancer's:
Recital shirt
Black leggings
Dance shoes from their last routine
ready for the end of the show. Dismissal procedures will be reviewed during dress rehearsal.
We know today is exciting, especially for our first-time recital families! Our teachers and volunteers will be available throughout the day to help guide you. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

We filled out all the forms to be on the list. Then are told we are not on the list. Then the visitor center for fort Sam is closed and you have to go to the medical visitor center to get a day pass BUT you also have to provide proof of car registration, and insurance.
This is just the rehearsal part. So later today when we have to go back we will have to do this again for the other adults coming who are not on a list.
Apparently there are a lot of dancers parents there right now trying to get in.
I think there was a mix up with the list somewhere.
